Hyundai’s midsize Sonata is new for 2015 and better than ever. If you are in the market for a traditional sedan in the Chicago area, come over to Lakeland Hyundai in Lakeland, where we serve drivers from Brandon, Plant City, and Winter Haven, FL, and see just how much is new about the Sonata.
Toyota substantially revised the 2015 Camry too, and part of the reason is because the competition from Korea has gotten too tough.
At a base price more than $1500 less than the Camry, you would be surprised at how many features the Sonata has but the Camry doesn’t. Here’s a brief list:
Though these 2 midsize sedans are nearly the same size overall, the Sonata has more interior space than the Camry. The passenger compartment is 3 cubic feet bigger, and there is an extra cubic foot of space in the trunk too. This space is mostly in the form of more hip room in both rows, to seat 3 adult more comfortably in back. The Sonata also has more front headroom and leg room.
The standard 4-cylinders in both cars get good fuel economy; both are rated at 28 mpg combined in most trims. But the base Sonata SE actually does slightly better with 29 mpg combined, because of its slightly better highway rating of 37 mpg. The Sonata makes more power and torque too. If that isn’t enough, Hyundai offers you the option of a 1.6-liter turbo that gets an extra 4 mpg in city testing, and 3 extra highway mpg. The Sonata 2.0 turbo upgrade gets better mileage than the Camry’s optional V6 too.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata really is the best buy of all the midsized sedan choices out there today. Lakeland Hyundai in Lakeland has the entire Hyundai lineup, and we’re easy to get to from anywhere in Brandon, Plant City, Winter Haven, or the surrounding areas.
